Capt. Chris Thomas, commodore of Submarine Squadron 6, greets Cmdr. Christian Houette, commanding officer of the French navy submarine FS Perle, following his arrival at Naval Station Norfolk. Perle is visiting Norfolk to participate in Auriga 2010, a series of multinational exercises in the North and West Atlantic. Auriga 2010 is lead by the Britsh Royal Navy aircraft carrier HMS Ark Royal.
