North Carolina Army National Guard soldiers assigned to the 630th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion pack up a Deployable Rapid Assembly Shelter before a convoy movement to the Rotational Unit Bivouac Area from the Logistics Support Area Forward Operating Base Santa Fe, Fort Irwin, California during the 16-07 National Training Center rotation on June 21, 2016. A DRASH tent is a system that integrates all amenities needed to conduct field operations such as shelter, heat, air-conditioning, and power sources. The NTC is a training facility designed to simulate real-life combat scenarios testing warriors’ readiness utilizing their military occupational specialty in a high-up-tempo environment.
