160801-N-KW311-003 SILVERDALE, Wash. (Aug. 1, 2016) - Capt. Tom Zwolfer, Naval Base Kitsap (NBK) Commanding Officer, is accompanied by Seaman Cheyenne Frank while he cuts the Unaccompanied Housing (UH) cake to celebrate a job well done for the re-opening of the renovated Bldg. 2306 junior enlisted quarters at NBK, Bangor. Rooms were reconfigured into two-bedroom units, which included common lounges, kitchens with dining areas, and laundry appliances. The project, which started December 2014 and completed in June 2016, improves the housing quality for NBK personnel, leading to high morale, readiness and mission performance, while maintaining safe quarters.
