ARABIAN GULF (Aug. 5, 2016) -Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Fuels) 3rd Class Zachary Lupardus of Akron, Ohio, closes a fuel valve in refueling station 11 of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike) during a replenishment-at-sea with the fast-combat support ship USNS Arctic (T-AOE 8). Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
