Cpl. Quanje R. Hill (Right) and a Tongan Soldier conduct a beach insertion via combat rubber raiding craft, July 27, 2016, on Motutapu Island, Tonga, during a multi-national, bilateral exercise designed to increase interoperability and relations as part of Task Force Koa Moana’s deployment in the Asia-Pacific region. The service members utilized the CRRCs to operationalize USNS Sacagawea (T-AKE 2), conduct beach insertion training and transport supplies and personnel from ship to shore. Hill, from Baltimore, Maryland, is an infantryman with Task Force Koa Moana and is originally assigned to Company C, 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force.
