A U.S. Marine and Tongan Soldier insert via combat rubber raiding craft, July 27, 2016, on Motutapu Island, Tonga, during a multi-national, bilateral exercise as part of Task Force Koa Moana’s deployment in the Asia-Pacific region. During the exercise, designed to increase interoperability and relations, the service members utilized the CRRC’s capabilities to operationalize USNS Sacagawea (T-AKE 2), conduct insert beach insertion training and move supplies and personnel from ship to shore. The Marines with the task force are originally assigned to I and III Marine Expeditionary Force. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl. William Hester/ Released)
