Harry Harris speaks with prominent figures prior to delivering the keynote address at the Rebuild Japan Initiative Foundation (RJIF) event in Tokyo. The RJIF’s goal is to bring together retired and active leaders from both U.S. and Japan, among other eminent retired officers that have had a lasting influence on the alliance. The event also allowed Adm. Harris to emphasize the importance and strategic value of the U.S.-Japan Alliance and how the security cooperation between two nations is a starting point for how the alliance can defend universal values at the global level.
