Seventeen Sierra Leone sailors wave good bye to newly acquired friends onboard USS Gunston Hall while transiting home aboard Landing Craft Mechanized 14, following the completion of 17 days at-sea and in-port training in maritime safety and security as part of African Partnership Station West. Gunston Hall is on a scheduled deployment in West and Central Africa in support of APS West, an international initiative developed by Naval Forces Europe - Africa that aims to improve maritime safety and security in Africa.
