160719-N-GR718-003 GULF OF OMAN (July 19, 2016) The amphibious transport dock ship USS New Orleans (LPD 18) participates in a replenishment at sea with the fast combat support ship USNS Arctic (T-AOE 8) and the amphibious dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49). New Orleans is part of the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group and, with the embarked 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
