Petty Officer 1st Class Jason Ashmeade, center, from Long Island, N.Y., an instructor for Africa Partnership Station West, embarked aboard the Whidbey Island-class amphibious dock-landing ship USS Gunston Hall, demonstrates to service members of the Senegalese, Liberian, Sierra Leone, Gambian and Equatorial Guinean armed forces, the proper procedures for applying a tourniquet in a combat environment using a cravat during a combat lifesaver course.
