Jacob Burden, 445th Medical Detachment Veterinarian Specialists, Independence, Mo., inject Ivermax, an anti-parasitic, into a calf at Patterson Ranch, Lockwood, Calif., during Combat Support Training Exercise 91-16-02, Fort Hunter Liggett, Calif., June 20, 2016. Calves are secured in order to keep both the animal and persons safe from bodily injury, after care is given, the calf is then released back to the herd.
