Fourteen Togo and Benin navy sailors receive training on the Belgian navy command and logistical support ship BNS Godetia as part of the European-led Africa Partnership Station West initiative. This APS deployment is led by the Belgium navy with the support of Dutch and the United States and marks the second time that APS has been executed from a non-U.S. ship. APS is an international initiative developed by U.S. Naval Forces Africa to improve maritime safety and security with African partner countries. Godetia is homeported in Zeebrugge, Belgium, and is on a scheduled deployment.
