160525-N-KG407-296 NEW YORK (May 5, 2016) — Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Bainbridge (DDG 96) passes under the Verrazano Bridge during a parade of ships in the New York Harbor river to mark the start of 2016 Fleet Week New York. The event Fleet Week New York, now in its 28th year, is the city's time-honored celebration of the sea services. It is an unparalleled opportunity for the citizens of New York and the surrounding tri-state area to meet Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen, as well as witness firsthand the latest capabilities of today's maritime services.
