Jeremy Gebhardt, the senior noncommissioned officer for 2nd Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 2nd BCT, uncase the Strike Brigade’s colors during their transfer of authority ceremony in Erbil, Iraq, May 17 2016. This ceremony marks the beginning of the Strike brigade’s deployment in Iraq as part of Combined Joint Forces Land Component Command – Operation Inherent Resolve, building partner capacity and advising and assisting Iraqi Security Forces. The building partner capacity mission aims to increase the military capacity of local forces fighting the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.
