Recovered shanks sit in a box at the Charles Egeler Reception and Guidance Center in Jackson, Michigan, May 15. The shanks helped familiarize the U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers assigned to the 303rd Military Police Company with the realism of prison functions.The MPs were also taught inmate control by the corrections officer trainers at the local facility.
