Sixteen-year olds Madeline Chandler and Susanna Couch read the Action Report and Roll of Honor to a crowd of solemn Islanders and visitors to the British War cemetery at Hatteras Island, North Carolina on Thursday. This is the girls’ second year as presenters after their school principal at the Cape Hatteras Secondary School of Coastal Studies asked them to participate. “It just seemed like an honor to be able to be a part of this,” Chandler said.
