An aerial photograph shows two military CH-47 Chinook helicopters flying low over a vast glacial snowfield surrounded by snow-covered mountains. In the mid-distance, a small base camp with colorful tents (orange, yellow, and blue) is visible on the snow. The scene suggests a military support or rescue operation in a high-altitude alpine or polar environment.

A pair of CH-47F Chinook helicopters from B Company, 1st Battalion, 52nd Aviation Regiment sit near a climber camp on the Kahiltna Glacier April 24. Three crews from the U.S. Army Alaska Aviation Task Force spent a week in Talkeetna, Alaska, training in high altitude flying through the mountains and continued a longstanding partnership with the National Park Service to shuttle equipment and supplies to the Park Service base camp at the 7,200-foot level of Kahiltna Glacier for the upcoming climbing season on Denali.
