A military tandem-rotor helicopter, identifiable as a Boeing CH-47 Chinook, is captured in flight over a dramatic snow-covered mountain range. The helicopter appears to be flying at low-to-medium altitude against a clear blue sky, with rugged alpine peaks heavily blanketed in snow visible in the background. The image conveys a high-altitude military operation or training mission in a winter mountain environment.

A CH-47F Chinook helicopter from B Company, 1st Battalion, 52nd Aviation Regiment flies through the Alaska Range April 24. Three crews from the U.S. Army Alaska Aviation Task Force spent a week in Talkeetna, Alaska, training in high altitude flying through the mountains and continued a longstanding partnership with the National Park Service to shuttle equipment and supplies to the Park Service base camp on Kahiltna Glacier for the upcoming climbing season on Denali.
