Brig. Gen. James Mingus, the commander for the 4th Infantry Division’s Mission Command Element, attends the distinguished visitor’s day for Exercise Strike Back at Bulgaria’s Novo Selo Training Area April 19. Exercise Strike Back is a Bulgarian Armed Forces exercise that certifies the Bulgarian 38th Mechanized Battalion to respond to crisis operations while demonstrating the interoperability of the Armed Forces and Land Forces. Soldiers from 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division trained alongside their Bulgarian allies to help build relationships between while making sure they are able to fight as a combined force as a part of NATO.
