160419-N-FR671-040 PACIFIC OCEAN (April 19, 2016) – Boatswain’s Mates assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) signal to go down two chains during an anchor drop evolution in the ship’s foc’sle. America is an aviation centric amphibious assault ship that supports Marine aviation requirements, from small-scale contingency operations of an expeditionary strike group, to forcible entry missions in major theaters of war.
