    Sgt. Maj. Michael A. Parks, the battalion sergeant major for 3rd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, is awarded the Bronze Star Medal Feb. 11 at the battalion's light armored vehicle ramp, for his 'lead from the front' mentality during their last deployment to Iraq.
