Two juvenile Hawaiian monk seals rest in their transport cage in Kona, Hawaii, ahead of a transport aboard an HC-130 Hercules aircplane from Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point on Oahu, April 14, 2016. This transport of seven monk seals was a milestone in the partnership between the Coast Guard, NOAA and The Marine Mammal Center's Ke Kai Ola rehabilitation facility to ensure the survival of monk seals, a critically endangered species found nowhere else in the world.
