Sgt. Paul Vaughn, 30, from Kansas City, Mo, stands in front of a M1070 Heavy Equipment Transporter vehicle at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, Feb. 11. Vaughn is a senior motor transport operator with the 2nd Heavy Equipment Transport Company. His company plays a key role in the Responsible Drawdown of Iraq. HETS are massive armored trucks that are capable of hauling up to 70 tons on their trailers. The 500-horsepower truck weighs 20.5 tons and their matching trailers are not light at a hefty 25 tons.
