Civil Affairs Soldiers from the Joint Forces Special Operations Component Command, along with the Marine Corps flight crew from the MH-53E Sea Dragon and others who work at the airport, loaded $750,000 worth of medical supplies into a helicopter that was traveling back to Port-au-Prince Feb. 5 from the Cap-Haitien airport. The charity organization that had the supplies was going to use private transportation to get the supplies to the Port-au-Prince airport. The civil affairs Soldiers were from the 98th Civil Affairs Battalion (Airborne), which falls under the 95th Civil Affairs Brigade (Airborne) and under the United States Army Special Operations Command.
