The guided-missile destroyer USS Higgins operates off the coast of Haiti refueling aircraft used to deliver supplies to those affected by the earthquake. Higgins, operating with the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson, is supporting humanitarian and disaster relief efforts as part of Operation Unified Response after a 7.0 magnitude earthquake caused severe damage in Haiti on Jan. 12.
