The aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson operates off the coast of Haiti, launching helicopters to deliver supplies to parts of the island. Carl Vinson and Carrier Air Wing 17 are conducting humanitarian and disaster relief operations as part of Operation Unified Response after a 7.0 magnitude earthquake caused severe damage near Port-au-Prince on Jan. 12.
