U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Marcus Hollins, a pharmacy technician with the 35th Medical Support Squadron, placed this saline pouch and medication on a counter before injecting the drug into the pouch for a procedure later that day at Misawa Air Base, Japan, Feb. 4, 2016. The medication, and in this case, an antibiotic, is injected directly into the saline solution pouch to dilute the medication to ensure the patient receives the correct dosage.
