Pfc. Isaac Leal, from San Francisco, and his team leader, Sgt. Javier Ascencio, from Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico, both combat engineers assigned to U.S. Army Alaska’s 6th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, train with the CEIA metal detectors used to identify buried improvised explosive devices as they prepare to execute training missions at the Joint Readiness Training Center’s Peason Ridge during rotation 16-04 held at Fort Polk, La., Feb. 11, 2016. Being an Alaska-based airborne unit, 4-25th will stay a rapidly-deployable, tailorable asset for the commander of U.S. Army Pacific.
