U.S. Army Alaska paratroopers assigned to 1st Battalion, 501st Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, use correct vehicle ground guide techniques to position a Humvee as they prepare to execute a combined arms live-fire exercise at the Joint Readiness Training Center’s Peason Ridge during rotation 16-04 held at Fort Polk, La., Feb. 11, 2016. 4-25th BCT and the Airborne Task Force Soldiers, like all U.S. Army Alaska units, train to survive, operate, fight and win in extreme cold weather and high altitude environments. They have also proven just as effective in warmer climates. Alaska’s strategic location allows our airborne forces to get boots on the ground anywhere in the Pacific. (Photo by Capt. Richard Packer, U.S. Army Alaska Public Affairs)
