PACIFIC OCEAN (Jan 22, 2016) - Sailors from the Crash and Salvage team aboard the guided-missile destroyer, USS Stockdale (DDG-106) work to rescue individuals from a simulated crash on the flight deck. Stockdale, assigned to the John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group, is part of the Great Green Fleet, a year-long initiative highlighting the Department of the Navy’s efforts to transform its energy use to increase operational capability. Providing a combat-ready force to protect collective maritime interests, the John C.
