160122-N-EH218-083 PACIFIC OCEAN (Jan. 22, 2016) – Gunner’s Mate 2nd Class Franklin Troyer, from Grand Rapids, Mich., rolls up rubber mats used to catch 5-inch gun shells aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS Mobile Bay (CG 53). Mobile Bay, assigned to the John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group, is part of the Great Green Fleet, a yearlong initiative highlighting the Department of the Navy's efforts to transform its energy use to increase operational capability. Providing a combat-ready force to protect collective maritime interests, the John C.
