II Marine Expeditionary Force Marines with II Marine Headquarters Group and Combat Logistics Battalion 24 wait before entering the gas chamber at Camp Lejeune, N.C., Jan. 8. As of fiscal year 2015, Marines qualify bi-annually in preparation for deployment. The chamber is a routine exercise to ensure the durability of each Marines gear while exposed to chlorobenzylidene malononitrile, or CS gas.
