The three Coast Guard Silver Lifesaving Medals presented to Doug Stockholm, Kevin McDonald and Gary McDonald, three men who put themselves in danger to save the lives of a 6-year-old girl and her grandmother, Dec. 16, 2015. The three men, all South Dakota natives, came together to rescue the girl and her grandmother after they spotted the pair floating down in the flooded and strong currents of the Lewis and Clark Lake.
