Japan Air Self-Defense Force Tech. Sgt. Satoshi Marimoto, a C-130 Hercules loadmaster, takes a breather before an airdrop over the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas island of Pagan for an Operation Christmas Drop mission Dec. 9, 2015. During the Humanitarian Aid/Disaster Relief training event, C-130 aircrews from the U.S., Japan and Australia performed low-cost, low-altitude airdrops on unsurveyed drop zones while providing critical supplies to 56 islands throughout the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas, Federated States of Micronesia and Republic of Palau. It highlights the U.S. and allied airpower capabilities to orient and respond to activities in peacetime and crisis. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Benjamin Gonsier/Released)
