Sue Mayborn and Lt. Gen. Robert Cone, commanding general of III Corps and Fort Hood, cut the ribbon at the Resiliency Campus Reflection Pond dedication ceremony Dec. 11 at Fort Hood. The Frank W. and Sue Mayborn Foundation donated $100,000 to the Resiliency Campus to construct the reflection pond, a 25-foot by 40-foot combination of water, rock, gravel and plant life. "[The reflection pond] turned a vacant field into a beautiful landscape," Col. Bill Rabena, commandant of the Resiliency Campus, said. "It's a place where Soldiers and their families can reflect on life and focus their thoughts." (U.S. Army photo by Jeramie Sivley; DPTMS Visual Information)
