Sgt. Ivan Ruiz, 3rd Battalion, 41st Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, does push-ups Nov. 2 while waiting for his turn to conduct the combat water survival assessment portion of the 1st Armored Division Pre-Ranger course. Ruiz was one of 31 Soldiers who attended the course, which took place Nov. 2-20. Of those that started five finished and were recommended to attend Ranger School.
