U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Christy Cheshire, a National Guard Soldier deployed to Kosovo with 1st Squadron, 150th Cavalry Regiment, out of Bluefield, W.V., fires an M9 pistol during a weapons qualification event, Nov. 8, 2015, at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo. The weapons range was held as part of Multinational Battle Group-East’s November Soldier of the Month competition, in which Cheshire was named the competition’s top noncommissioned officer. Cheshire and the 1-150th are serving on liaison monitoring teams in southern Kosovo, as part of NATO’s Kosovo Force peace support mission. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt.
