KABUL, AFGHANISTAN (Nov. 10, 2015) A U.S. Marine carries the guidon past the lap-count line during the First to Fight 240 Relay at Resolute Support Headquarters, Kabul, Afghanistan, commemorating the 240th birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps. Members of the three sister U.S. services runs in support. The Marines at Resolute Support and the adjacent U.S. Embassy took turns carrying the guidon for 240 laps around the 26-acre compound. Many coalition partners assigned to this NATO camp ran in support. When the 240th lap was completed after about 14 hours the guidon had covered 96 miles through a cold, drizzling rain.
