151104-N-GR718-042 PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 4, 2015) Sailors aboard amphibious transport dock ship USS New Orleans (LPD 18) watch from the flight deck as a landing craft air cushion (LCAC) from Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 5 departs from the well deck of the ship. Boxer Amphibious Ready Group (ARG), composed of New Orleans, amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD 4), dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49), and 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is conducting a Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX) to test their ability to effectively respond to scenario driven events and perform as an integrated unit in preparation for deployment.
