Special Forces personnel treat and process rescued hostages during a noncombatant evacuation exercise at Meridian Naval Air Station, Miss., Nov. 3, 2015. Rescue personnel arrived by helicopter to the mock embassy, engaged enemy forces and rescued personnel being held hostage. This training event allowed U.S. Army and Air Force to train military members, refine planning and help prepare noncombatants such as U.S. military dependents as well as DoD civilians and their families in the event of a full-scale evacuation order from the U.S. Department of State. Exercise Southern Strike 16 emphasizes air-to-air, air-to-ground, and special operations forces training opportunities. (New York Air National Guard / Staff Sgt. Christopher S. Muncy / released)
