U.S. Army Spc. Kurry Hixson, battalion master driver, untangles the harness of a cargo crate delivered by helicopter slingload to Foward Operating Base Thunder, Nov 5. Slingload deliveries are performed when the cargo is hooked up by a sling under the aircraft and transported through the air. It takes an extreme amount of care to place the cargo on the ground safely without damage.
