Soldiers from 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment (Red Currahee), 101st Airborne Division, lay down suppressive fire Oct. 5 during a ground assault training exercise in New Mexico. The 506th was at Fort Bliss testing communications equipment as part of the Network Integration Evaluation 16.1. The ground assault was the last phase of the testing.
