Lance Cpl. Donald Hesse, a working dog handler, pets his dog Dasty at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Sept. 23, 2015. Hesse joined the Marine Corps in 2013, and has been working with his partner Dasty, a six-year-old Belgian Malinois and a patrol explosive detection dog, for one month.
