INDIAN OCEAN (Sept. 24, 2015) U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Steven Knapp fires at his target during a marksmanship qualification course aboard the dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47). Knapp is a team leader with Kilo Company, Battalion Landing Team 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit. The marksmanship course focused on sharpening basic marksmanship skills under the cover of darkness which prepares them for potential operations while deployed with the 15th MEU. The 15th MEU, embarked aboard the ships of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group, is deployed to maintain regional security in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
