Recruits of Delta Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, use packs as flotation devices during water survival training Sept. 14, 2015, on Parris Island, S.C. Water survival qualification, one of seven graduation requirements, includes swimming 25 meters, leaping from a 10-foot tower, treading water for four minutes and shedding combat equipment underwater. Delta Company is scheduled to graduate Nov. 13, 2015.
