Marines prepare to board a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter for the final exercise of Forest Light 16-1 at Camp Imazu, Takashima, Japan, Sept. 15, 2015. The Marines were airlifted by the helicopters to move to the objective faster and to avoid ambushes. Forest Light is a semi-annual, bilateral exercise consisting of a command post exercise and multiple field training events. This infantry training exercise is conducted by elements of III Marine Expeditionary Force and the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force.
