150911-N-JH668-158 SAN DIEGO (Sept. 11, 2015) – Sailors of the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) and the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force helicopter destroyer JS Hyuga (DDH 181) play a soccer game at Naval Base San Diego after the destroyer recently participated in Dawn Blitz 2015 (DB15). DB15 is a scenario-driven exercise designed to train the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps in operations expected of an amphibious task force while also building U.S. and coalition operational interoperability.
