Today, Sept. 9, 2015, the exercise “Immediate Response 15” was official opened at the Military Training Area “Eugen Kvaternik” Slunj (Croatia). The representatives of the countries participating the exercise, Croatia, U.S., Slovenia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Macedonia attended the opening ceremony. During their addresses Croatian and American co-directors, Cols. Denis Tretinjak and William R. Glaser, stressed out the focus on interoperability and development of capabilities to conduct the exercises in international environment, what are some of the main exercise objectives. Croatian co-director also indicated that while we are developing “technical interoperability” it's also important to develop “human interoperability," signifying friendship among participating nations. After the opening ceremony exercise participants have the opportunity to visit city of Slunj and ethno village Rastoke during cultural event.
