Constance Nicks, military spouse, participates in the Fisher House Hero and Remembrance Run, Walk or Roll event held at Ford Island to honor fallen service members Sept. 5, 2015, at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. “This is my third year running this race and the second year that my husband has been deployed while running it," Nicks said. “For the people who are currently deployed, keep going, we haven’t forgotten about you. Don’t ever feel that we’ve forgotten about you. We couldn’t be prouder of you. No matter what you’re doing, whether it’s out in a combat zone or a support role every single part is so important for the next.
