Chief Warrant Officer 2 Jay Soukiassian, a UH-60 Black Hawk pilot from 1st Battalion, 169th Aviation Regiment, out of Windsor Locks, Conn.—serving as part of NATO’s peace support mission in Kosovo—observes a communications class held by U.S. Army Soldiers to help Kosovar students prepare for the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language exam, Aug. 10, 2015, in Farizaj, Kosovo. Soukiassian, who organizes the Soldiers’ volunteer participation in the class, offers guidance to the Soldiers leading the class, and adds his input when needed. The purpose of the class is to prepare students to take the TOEFL exam, which will assess their ability to read, write and comprehend English at a university level. The TOEFL exam is recognized by more than 9,000 English-speaking universities around the world. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. David I. Marquis, Multinational Battle Group-East)
